Paul Anderson Cycling Challenge

Shooting for this event is always challenging and totally worth it. I am in a van all day, riding back and forth on the highway following the boys on bicycles. I'm shooting out of the window, from the side of the road, and occasionally, from the roof of the van: whatever it takes to get the shot. Then I'm in the van editing like a madman to get two videos produced and released every single day of the ride. That's not an easy thing to do, but it's a great way for the guys to celebrate their accomplishment at the end of the day: watch themselves in video. It's also the best way the boys' families and other supporters can be a part of the ride even if they are many miles away. This is the final montage video that takes some of the best moments from each day of last year's ride.

FCA Summer Camps

Football. Basketball. Lady's Basketball. Softball. I had a single day for each camp to capture the essence of what makes FCA camp what it is. Lot's of action and high energy. I've done several projects with FCA, including interviews with students and volunteers and editing pre-existing content for re-release, but their summer camps have been, by far, the most fun.

Chick-fil-A Vidalia Road Race

2017 was the first annual road race benefiting the Paul Anderson Youth Home and Vidalia WinShape Camps, hosted by Chick-fil-A of Vidalia and ZORN. I had the pleasure of capturing the day. For a community event like this, there's no greater way to spread the word than with a fun video where the community can see themselves, share the video with others and create excitement. Word of mouth is the best advertisement, and good video makes that happen.

CYCliad 2017

The Deep South Cancer Foundation's Cycliad event took me on quite a journey in 2017. We visited historical locations from the Civil Rights movement in Selma and Montgomery, Alabama. We spent a weekend in the mountains, a weekend experiencing rural Georgia, and even saw the sights in Birmingham. But this video highlights our weekend along the Emerald Coast. A lot like the PAYH bike ride, I shoot and edit on the road in real time. By the end of the ride, all videos are produced and available on social media for promotion. I even shoot run-and-gun interviews during the ride to help tell the story of "why we ride."

21st Century Summer Camp

This video was shot in a day and edited very quickly so the students could watch it at the end of the summer. Because of that, the quality of the editing is a bit rough around the edges, but I believe it captures the essence of the summer program and just how much the students get to experience there. Later I was able to add informative lower thirds that gave details about what activities the students were involved in, broken down into four separate videos. But here is the full length version I edited for the students at camp.
